Garden Maintenance Services
Supporting quality of life for older people, and their carers, and helping them stay independent in their own homes.
What is the gardening service?
Our gardening maintenance service is provided as part of our Home Support Program.

Following a My Aged Care (MAC) referral, we provide a garden maintenance service tailored to help maintain your independence at home. Services are provided by trained staff and designed for people who are willing and able to provide direction and self-manage their care.
Who can access the service?
Home Support Program garden maintenance services are available for people who are:
-
over the age of 65
-
or over 50 for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
-
and living at home and not in receipt of a Home Care Package
-
assessed as eligible for garden maintenance by My Aged Care

To use this service you must have a valid referral code or direct referral from My Aged Care.

A subsidised client contribution will be requested for services.
How does the service work?
Once a My Aged Care referral is received, and the service has capacity, you will receive a call to arrange a visit to assess your gardening needs.

Once services are arranged and scheduled, you will need to make sure you are home on the days of your workers’ visits. You will need to give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel, advise of any changes as soon as possible, and ask questions if you have any concerns.
