ASSIST Building and Maintenance is a service offered to the elderly and people living with a disability to help maintain and modify your home so you can stay in your home and be safe. From simple garden maintenance to major home modifications, ASSIST can help.  ASSIST Building and Maintenance has been working in the Blue Mountains from Lapstone to Mt Victoria for over 30 years, formerly known as Blue Mountains Home Modification and Maintenance Service. ASSIST uses fully qualified builders, carpenters, plumbers, electricians and occupational therapists to support people to stay safe at home.

ASSIST is a registered My Aged Care and NDIS Service Provider. Building License Number: 20001C. 

For My Aged Care clients, we have two qualified Occupational Therapists available to conduct assessments as part of your home modification referral - there is no cost to you for this assessment under this referral.

The purpose of an occupational therapy assessment is to help you to achieve or maintain your maximum level of independence, and to develop practical life skills so that you can participate to your full potential in the home environment.  Our Occupational Therapists will provide recommendations to our builder for any modification or maintenance needs you may have.

-  Clients registered with My Aged Care (subsidised fees apply)
-  Clients registered with NDIS (we are a registered NDIS service provider)
-  Clients registered with a Home Care Package Provider
-  Private clients (full fees apply)

All work is quoted before any commitment is required and the most competitive rates are offered and where possible, materials are costed at trade prices.  People who are eligible for My Aged Care are charged a subsidised fee based on capacity to pay. Modifications for My Aged Care and NDIS clients will require an Occupational Therapist assessment.
